WCSA was founded in Italy (and abroad) in order to promote scientific and humanistic studies in any disciplinary field of research, as long as that work is defined by a systemic and paradigm-based approach.
WCSA has the purpose of projecting, programming, organizing, evaluating, and supporting theoretical and applied research, as well as its widespread popularization, especially in the interdisciplinary, systemic and complexity science fields. Our aim is to offer important scientific and intellectual contributions to and through the systemic research: from engineering to biology, from pedagogics to economics, from mathematics to sociology, from cybernetics to architecture etc. (as long as they operate through a scientific systemic approach), since to the strategic problem solving applied to the most important evolutionary challenges that the humanity is tackling, for example the energetic, ecological, and biotechnological matters, involving, from epistemology to technique, a creative and inventive pluralism to all levels of research.
WCSA also has the purpose of promoting the meeting and the co-operation among scholars, in particular organizing periodical national and international conferences, Workshops and Summer School with outstanding national and international professors. In addition to supervising specific and scientific publications.
The Academy is a non-profit organization and does not avail itself of external contributions. The membership fees are the only financing source for the Association activities, such as Summer School, Conferences, Publications.
Annual Membership Fee
WCSA’s Annual Membership Fee is €100 (one hundred euro) for ordinary members and of €50 (fifty euro) for junior members (under the age of 30).
